Thump.
Thump.
Thump.
Charlie sighed, trying to get lost in the thoughts of Bella Swan. The rocks hitting her window made it hard to lose herself in Twilight, a fictional world where werewolves run around half naked, and Edward Cullen dazzles young girls while reading their minds.
Thump.
She dropped the book into her lap. Why was he doing this? He wanted her to leave, he even said so himself. So why should she pay him any attention? Why give into someone who just two hours ago had screamed out why she should stop talking to him. That's what he wanted. So she wouldn't go to the window, she couldn't.
Thump.
"Arg!" She opened up the window in defeat. "What?!" She screamed out. He just stood there unready, almost like he hadn't expected for her to run to him. "What do you want Joshua?"
"I want you to forgive me." He stated simply, staring up at her with puppy dog eyes. She hated when he got like this. It was already hard enough for her to stay mad at him, but this made it that much more difficult. He reminded her a lot of a villain from a corny cartoon. He was so irresistible, yet so evil.
"Why?" She asked, not wanting to say too much. Afraid she would give in too easily. Thats how it always happened. But not this time. She was a strong and indenpent person. She didn't need him. No, this time she wouldn't let him have this moment.
"Because Charlie Fisher, I love you. I've loved you since I was three, and I'll love you until I'm three hundred." He paused, taking in deep breaths. "Please, you can't let one little fight tear us apart."
She stood there at her window shocked. Did he just say he loved her? Joshua Barten admit to love? It couldn't be possible. No, she must have been hearing things. She had to have heard him wrong. He couldn't have said love.
SUNRISE 9:53 AM
"I hate this" Josh dropped all he was doing and turned to her. Confusion coursing through his orbs as he was greeted to her typing away at a computer."What do you hate?" He asked, looking over her shoulder to see what she was doing. Her fingers stumbled at the keyboard and she looked up at him.
